Indie Rock owns me and about everything else. Unlike most musical people, I play a sport and love sports. Im an indie kid but I am a music lover in general. Rap, punk, metal, hardcore, post-hardcore, indie pop, chamber pop, twee pop, and even emo, i like it all. Movies is the secont love which tons of my hard earned cash goes. One day I will have a room for my movie collection. Enough said. Enjoy my life as much as I wish I had yours if its better.

The Week Of Being International

This week was an extremely fun one. I was not able to attend basketball till thursday but after a very descent game played by myself, the team and myself came out and played against one of the worst teams ever formed. They were points of the basketball game where i was playing some of the dumbest defense ever and was getting steals because of it. Friday was the first day of the international and was extremely boring and hot. We didnt even eat there but did get some ice cream. Saturday was pretty cool day because i got up and got a good run in and spent some of the morning doing nothing. Around 1pm Zack came over and i went with him to get his haircut which was pretty pointless. We then went over his house where i had a seat and watched some really boring tennis. But after the tennis we did make a trip to Taco Bell where me and zack were able to talk ALEX into giving us a deal and instead of bean burritos we got chili cheese burritos in out bel grande meal. If you dont think thats good you havent had the best item in the history of fast food yet. A little later the Paul brothers came over and we spent some time at the poker table which was not a good day for me. The night was capped by another awsome time (sarcastic) at the international. After that we spent a good amount of time driving amherst yelling at people. "Your dog is gonna die" is my highlight and is the only thing i yelled. On sunday george, zack, and i went breaking fast with each other which means we went to panera and realised nothing was open due to a power outage. We then went to KFC where we how so much food that it was crazy. We got 10 peices of chicken, 2 Large Fries, 1 Mac and cheese, 6 biscuits, and the half gallon jug that was incredibly awsome. Next weekend is the holiday of the summer and i will also be going to the stereophonics concert cause im just ridiculous like that.

Days Of Work And Play

It has been over a week since the last entry and i have neglected to write on this for no good reason at all. Last week was spent every night at basketball and not doing much at all. Seeing how i didnt right this last week im trying to remember what i did but am having a hard time remembering everything. I do know however that on friday night i, with george, went to vince`s house and played ddr. I have to say that the game is incredibly gay and if you are good at it you get some brownie points because of the difficulty. Wait, i saw batman on wednesday and here is the review:

Batman Begins is the best superhero movie that i have ever seen. It went with the dark and somewhat grimy affect of Gotham while previous batmans went with a futuristic idea that was not very cool at all. The Scarecrow was so incredibly cool and has made me love the actor who played him and would almost watch anything he is gonna be in or was in (soon red eye and for now 28 Days Later.) Overall the movie ran on the long side, which through George for a loop, but other then that i really liked it. The hero cliche of not killing anyone really pisses me off and is addressed in the movie which i like. So this is from 1 to 10 is a 8.6.

Back to the blog now. The weekend was spent in Erie, Penn. playing basketball in a shootout that was full of all losses. On saturday night the team had a poker tourny where i pulled down the win and 40$. On sunday we had more games but was highlighted with me and a kid from Pittsburgh almost getting into a fight. The kid looked like he was all hopped on steriods but i was so mad i was gonna fight him. It ended with me and him have a yelling match with me calling him a Faggoty Bitch. I would tell you what he said but no one on the team could really understand him. It just sounded like he was mumbling. Monday was another day of awsomeness. After gaurding for 4 hours i went to crocker park with Zack and saw Crash. Once again here is the review:

Crash is a movie about racism and the struggles of enthicities in southern california. Its very hard to explain the movie with so many characters being equal in stature and one not being bigger then another. t's difficult to sum up this movie, because it's so many different stories that weave in and out of each other, ala Magnolia. There are cops Graham and Ria (Don Cheadle and Jennifer Esposito). There's the district attorney and his wife (Brendan Fraser and Sandra Bullock). There are the thiefs (Ludacris and Larenz Tate). There are some street cops (Matt Dillon and Ryan Phillippe). There's a TV director and his wife (Terrence Dashon Howard and Thandie Newton). And there's a locksmith and a shop owner (Michael Pena and Shaun Toub). And they've all got problems... Many highlights but Michael Pena daughter being shot is one of the most powerful moments in a movie that i have ever seen. It all deals with a conflict of him fixing a lock to the store the Shaun Toub owned but was broken into. This scene i beleived to be more powerful then the scene with Sean Penn in Mistic River. I became extremely attached to Pena`s character and would wish him some kinda of nod for his role in this. Overall the movie is a masterpeice and should be recognised by the academy. The movie is an 9.4 out of 10.

Back to the blog. After the movie we got to play some more poker which resulted in me winning another 23$ bucks so im loving playing poker again. On tuesday George anc Vince and I went to Church Street and pertaked in the all u can eat wings. I realised to get a deal on wings you most eat 40 to get them for a .25$ a pop. I got that so i have no regrets but if we do it again were going to Quaker State instead. This weekend is the coming of the INTERNATIONAL and will be full of good times at it. I can`t wait to spend time with people i like and not with people i dislike.

And So It Starts

The begginning has not been the funnest begginning but its still summer and its a summer of no plans and just hanging out. I have yet to take my lifegaurding test but it will happen tomorrow for sure. I spent much of the time away from school just doing nothing. In all out honesty the highlight was finnally beating GTA:SA which has been sitting in my library forever without a touch. The first day of the summer was highlighted by a rousing game of stick where a stick went through an umbrella that was quite large. Stick is the summer game of choice just to let some of you guys know. The day was also spent in Corky Companas pool playing basketball where i have later found out that we arent aloud in there. I did however have a scrimmage on saturday at Mount Union which is a football god. The school is located in Alliance and after seeing how shitty the town was i have to rule it out as a possible place i want to go to college. The scrimmage was not a good one for amherst. Early on i was looking to create some fastbreak points that just werent happening. I was the only senior there and the day was a long one. After i got home i watched some Coldplay live which everytime i hear them i like them more and more. I would recomend to anyone you pick up XandY because its amazing. About midnight zack came over with enough cash to crush me as i set there. We went to Denny`s and my phone was abused to the point of almost breaking. He also broke a truce that he will recieve something back for one day. Sunday was a day where i was supposed to see Crash but due to circumstances of grades of someone else i did not go. I did however go to The Castle and so something i will never forget. Zack knows what i saw and you will never get to see it so dont worry bout it. I did however get to watch a classic movie that i havent seen in at least three years in Tombstone. Well thats not the best weekend ever but it happened and i thought i would let you guys know. Ill Be Your Huckleberry (tombstone reference.)

End of a Year and the Start of a Season

Today is the day of finals and looking back on the year i have not kept up with my studies. My grades have suffered this year and this year has been full of many dissappoints school wise. Early in the year i took a latin class that i deeply regret. I know many of you say this but im saying it as a true statement, my teacher was crazy. I broke her into tears more then once and she was just straight crazy. I at one point had an F but i was able for the year bring that up to C and on the final i mustered a C again. The second semster was full of me not doing my full potentional again but i think i mustered again the grades i want. Basketball this year had some highs and lows but i want comment on it because alot of my summmertime blog will be full of basketball stories from summer leagues. The year was also spent with alot of people i was not friends with last year. I spent alot of time with Max Beal who i had not even talked to till this year. He was in my ASS class but i maybe talked to him twice. We begin hanging out through a person i and him almost never talk to. Also, at every football game i set with a kid from LC that was friends with Brian Kandrack who i will not comment on. I will always remember persuading Joe into thinking a bottle of water was 2$ instead of 1$. He will never forget that also. Also, i have began hanging out entirely to much with Zack Braff. In the past two weeks i have been over his house or in his car at least 30 hours. Im still working at the Y but im taking on a big think here soon with the beginning of me being a lifegaurd. I know many of you are saying "that kid couldnt save his own life," which is very true. But they dont know that and come on, most people who drown are little kids so ill be fine, hopefully. The year was capped with a concert which was truly amazing. The Killers and Hot Hot Heat rocked the Scene Pavillion and i was mellested by a lady double my age. This is the first of many segments by me about my journeys. Once again thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed.
